I am eligible and now insured for surgery for a BAHA implant and will no longer use this powerful hearing aid. My ear canals are very small and irritable; they do not tolerate prolonged use of ear molds. It does help me hear things on my deaf side when I wear it, no doubt about that.

It is programmable. An eligible individual needs a custom mold made deep in the ear canal. You need to find an audiologist who is familiar with it; most of them who treat SSD are still not experienced with the TransEar.
